Bio:
Dr. Alycia N. Carey is a senior systems and infrastructure engineer on the Research Science Hardware Intelligence team housed within Walmart OneLab. She holds a computer science Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas where her dissertation focused on creating fair and private federated learning systems. Her major research interests include utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance SOC and forensics operations as well as building trustworthy AI architectures. Before joining Walmart, Dr. Carey served as a TITANS R&D Cybersecurity Graduate research intern at Sandia National Labs where her work focused on creating private and explainable deep learning models. In her free time, she enjoys bookbinding and training as an amateur boxer.
